The pictures won't post.  I will have to try later.

Night with the Girls

Here are some pictures from when I went out with the girls from the theatre a few months ago. We went to Iggy’s in Layton and we all had a really good time. I have not seen a few of them in a really long time. I think as time progresses I realize more and more that we are all drifting apart and moving on to different life paths. I am so grateful for the friendships that I have with these girls and even though I only see them a few times a year I still consider them some of my very best friends. We spent so much time together talking and hanging out in the mini or causing some kind of mischief or running around like crazy when we were really busy. I thought I would share some of my favorite moments and some of the things that make them such great friends.

Jamie and I had so much fun working together. Our best thing was our dancing. I knew if I was working a shift with her I was going to get a work out. Our best dances were “Pour some sugar on me” and our Christmas dance. We also had fun doing scavenger hunts, jambalaya cook offs, and spying on the floor staff. Jamie’s has some really great qualities. She loves her family and friends and is the most loyal person you will ever meet. She is a hard working, honest and reliable. She is shy until you get to know her and then you see the wild woman who is up for anything.

My fondest memories with Lana are when we were taking our practicum together. We had a good time studying together and my weaknesses were her strength and vice versa so we made a really great team. The best thing about Lana is that she is a wonderful listener. She would always remember what we talked about and genuinely cared about what was happening in your life. Lana always had nurturing qualities even before she was a mom. She is caring, dependable and honest. She gives more than she expects back and is always there for the people around her.

I have two favorite memories with Lys. The first one was when we played an April fool’s joke on the floor staff and made them all were plastic gloves and told them it was a new guideline. It was so funny. The second was all of the stories about her crazy sister in-law situation. It was like listening to a soap opera. The best thing about Lys is her calm and accepting personality. She is so easy going. Another great thing about Lys is her creativity and artistic abilities. She is great at scrapbooking, photography and craft making. She is so organized with all her lists…I love it.

I have so many memories with Missy. The ones that come to mind first are going on walks around the district, sharing a bag of popcorn (yellows for me, whites for her), my wedding planning and laughing about my Haiti stance. There are so many great things about Missy. She is sparkly…you know one of those people that just sparkles because they are so good. She is great at keeping in touch with friends. She is great at keeping secrets….I have told her things that I know she has never told anyone. She is humble, honest and perceptive. She is gifted with patience and acceptance. She is one of the kindest, most honorable and pure spirited people I know.

My best memories with Jill were when we would just sit in the mini and hang out. We could sit for hours and it would seem like just minutes passed by. It was so easy to talk about anything. I feel like Jill and I have a lot in common right now. We both have little girls. We both bought a house about the same time. We are both married to supportive hardworking husbands. We both left the theater. We both still have to work even though we don’t want to. The best things about Jill is that she is a lot like me…hehe….just kidding. The best thing is that she is always making an effort to stay in contact. She checks my facebook and she text messages me. She makes an effort to make others feel important.

I have a lot of memories with Tandem because I have known her forever. My best memories with Tandem are all of the ups and downs of life. We experienced a lot together in life from crappy boyfriends to school accomplishments to family chaos. There are two things that I think are wonderful about Tandem. The first is that she is very driven. She sets a goal and than does everything in her power to achieve it. The second and even more important is she is very considerate. When my mom was sick she made a special effort to acknowledge it and baked cookies and brought them to her….so thoughtful.

I have so many memories with Kellee that it is hard to pinpoint just a few. My favorites would have to be the first time we went camping with Thom and Jody, our late night talks, the face she made at the district (haha…she knows), and our Macarena song and dance. The best things about Kellee are: her hugs, she gives amazing hugs that just make you feel loved. She is so easy to talk to and even if you haven’t seen her for a year she makes it feel like it was yesterday. She is so likeable. She is funny, charming, charismatic and witty. She has so many friends because she is such a good friend. She is the glue that keeps us all connected.

I remember when I started at the theater that I was very hesitant and slightly embarrassed about working there and the only reason I applied was because my friend Megan worked there and she said it was fun. I am so grateful that I did. I am so grateful for this great group of girls. I am very excited that we are all moving on (babies, houses, husbands, etc.) and I was definitely ready to move on when I left. I know we will all change, but I hope we will keep in contact with each other throughout the rest of our lives.
